How do I add multiple sub task types with different workflows?

I'm trying to add multiple sub tasks with different workflows, but all i see is create subtask and when i go to issue types and add issue type I can't seem to add another sub type task

Take a look at the project type at the bottom left of the project displays - does it say "team managed" or "company managed"?

Ah, that's it then.

TMPs only allow for one sub-task, there's no multiple sub-task types.

Hi Michael - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You will need to be a Jira Administrator, but go to Settings > Issues > Sub-tasks.

There you can add a new Sub-task type.

I tried to do that, but when I go to my project settings, I still can only see the one sub-task.

It's as Nic said - since it is a Team-managed project, there is only one Sub-task type available.
