PM here - limited JQL & coding skills to be up front. I am a project admin, but not a JIRA admin, so limited security permissions.
I've set up a PMO dashboard to review all current projects in a Confluence dashboard, and have a follow up request. I'd like to add an automation to calculate and populate the total of consumed hours on all tickets on each individual project board.
Currently, our "Consumed Hours" field is text-based, but is available on the dashboard.
To restate the question: Is there a way to automate a Tempo logged hours report & populate a field in the JIRA issue type "Project Status Report?"
Hi @Bob Ramza
One way to do this is with automation rules. Below is an example use case which walks through how to do this. You may need your site admin to add a custom field for you if you do not already have a location/field to store the sum of any values.
Best regards,
Bill
Thank you, Bill!
I've reviewed the link with our practice lead, and we're investigating how to implement across the organization.
If we have any follow up questions, I will reach back out.
Have a great day,
Bob
