Dear Team,
I am using the cloud version. I have an issue with the sprint field. The sprint field is locked in my cloud version.
Kindly help me to unlock the field.
Thanks,
Nandkishore Bangar
Assuming by "locked", you are referring to the red "locked" you see on the list of custom fields, (if not, then please explain what you mean by "locked"?)
Fields are locked to prevent incorrect configurations being applied to them. You can only unlock them by database fiddles on Server/DC installations.
I think we need to know why you think you want to unlock the fields?
When you say the sprint field is locked, what are you referring to?
Do you mean you can't create a sprint on a board using the manage sprint button? Or are you referring to the sprint field on an issue's detail view?
A screenshot might help here to highlight your specific issue!
Please also provide which type of account you have - Free, Standard or Premium :)

Dear Stephen,
Thanks for your response. I am able to add new sprint values on the sprint field.

As Nic mentioned, the "Locked" here means it cannot be configured. Fields are locked to avoid misconfiguration where they perform a specific, important function - in this case, Sprints manage visualisation of issues on active sprints in the Scrum Board.
The Sprint field visualises available sprints from boards within your instance. To add new options to this field, go to your Scrum Board and press the "Create Sprint" button just above the Backlog.
If you cannot edit this field on an issue - or cannot create/start sprints on a board - ensure you have the appropriate permissions. You'll need "Edit Issues" to edit an issue and "Manage Sprints" to add and modify the sprint field.
For more information on project permissions - see this help page.
