How can i specify a query which pulls all the jira's in the last 30 days?

I am trying to create a dashboard which captures the Jira's with a particular status in the last 30 days. Is there a way to specify that in my adv query?

I think you can do it like this

 status was STATUS_NAME after startOfDay(-30)
