Currently , i am using QC in my project. Now It is require to migrate on JIRA as the quality center is getting obsolete and we do not want to use Octane .There is no issue in migrating  Test plan and requirement however , blocking point here is to migrate all the defect along with their attachment.  I am not able to find any solution to migrate defect's ATTACHMENT to X-ray.

It will be a great help if anyone can provide a solution.

Thanks

Hello Bhuwanesh,

Can you specify to us if the "X-ray" and quality center(ALM12) you are mentioning are JIRA instances? What are the applications you are talking about?

If that's the case, you can follow the steps in the documentation below:

Migrating Jira applications to another server

Hello Petterson,

Quality Center is test management tool of HP. X-Ray is an instance of JIRA used for test management.

I have to migrate from HP Quality center to Jira's X-Ray. So i have to migrate all the test plan and defects . Now the problem is , While migrating the defects to Jira's X-ray , attachment is not getting migrated. And attachment(Screen shots) are critical part of defect.

Please let me know if it is still not clear.

Thank you for your answer, Bhuwanesh.

Now, it's clear that you are trying to import attachments from an external application to a JIRA Server instance, once you have already imported your defects (Issues).

Please, follow the instructions on the documentation below to import the attachments to your imported issues:

Bulk import attachments to JIRA issues via REST API

Please, let me know if you have any questions about it.
