Dear community,

the hierarchy logic of our tickets is Epic -> Feature -> Story.

We use Structure to display the hierarchy. However, our stories are linked to feature and not directly linked to the belongig epic (only over the feature). How can I use structure so I can see all Epics with all below? This means including Stories that are linked to the Feature and Features are linked to Epics.

So far we just got issues that are directly linked to an epic.

Thank you and kind regards,

Lisa

Hello @Lisa Oehl

You can try the following approach:

1. Add Stories to your structure with an Insert generator.
2. Add the Issue Links Group generator - select the link type and link direction of a link that connects Stories with their respective Features.
3. Add the Group by Epic generator - enable the 'Consider other groups' option in the grouper's configuration. You might also need to switch two groupers by moving one above the other at the top of the structure to get the right order of groups created.

As a result, you should get the 3-level hierarchy. Stories without features and Features without Epics will be sorted in groups with no values.

Alternatively, you can start building the structure with adding Epics and using two Extend generators for adding linked issues. But this approach can work only if you don't have orphaned Stories - if you do, such Stories won't appear in the structure then.

I hope this helps. If you need further assistance or have other questions - please reach out to us directly at our support portal and we'll get back to you shortly.
