How can I set up an inbox for CMS forwarding in a company managed business space?

It does not seem it is possible to add the CSM Inbox to a business project, but I do not see anything in the docs that says this feature is limited to Software projects.

Can you provide a link to the documentation you are referencing?

And do you mean "CMS" as in your title or "CSM" as in the body of your post?
