I recently went through the signup flow and I reached a form with an input to choose a site URL. I went ahead and wrote a URL, clicked something like "accept" or "create" or "start" or whatever it was, and then I got this red error box:
(Issue ID for Atlassian use: Trace ID: d4eea84372b64a89a168af242eb2c7d8)
I was able to refresh the page and the form would still be there in a non-error state, asking me to create my site URL, but every time I submitted it the same problem would occur. Now, I can't go back to the site to try again (if that would even work given enough time perhaps), nor do I know what else to do. I can't even contact tech support about the issue because, of course*, I need to give them my site URL.
Can anybody help me with this issue?
EDIT: The problem occurs on https://www.atlassian.com/try/cloud/signup?bundle=jira-software&edition=free. Here's the exact form and error message:
Hello, Good day. Checking from end, I don't see any site created under the email address used in this thread. Please try to create the site again and in case if it fails, please provide the timestamp of when you tried. Thanks!
Thank you for getting back to me! I just tried again and got the same error. Timestamp 2026-03-13 18:33 PST

I really appreciate the help. I definitely want to figure it out so I don't have to keep bugging you. Unfortunately, trying to create an issue is exactly where I got to in the first place that prompted me to create this discussion post. "I can't even contact tech support about the issue because, of course, I need to give them my site URL [which was never created when I signed up]." Is there anything else I can do to help resolve this issue besides creating a new account under a different email and trying again, or besides deleting this account (and not being able to keep track of this very conversation we're having) and trying to recreate it?

Thanks for the response. I can confirm that this site name is still available for the creation. Please try creating the site with same name from different user account, once the site is created, we can add/remove users as per the requirement. Thanks!

Oh that's great, I'm glad the site is still available. Unfortunately, I don't have a different user account (email?). I created the entire email address that I utilized to sign up for a Jira account for the sole purpose of creating the Jira account. I can't create another email address just to create another user account. Is there any way that I can delete this current account and then recreate it with the exact same email address?
