EDIT: This is resolved. It was a permissions problem, duh. :)
When an IDEA is "Accepted" and converted to an issue in a particular Jira space (we use "HC" for Home Care), it is no longer editable. I am the Assignee on an IDEA that has been Accepted, but I am no longer in Home Care, so I want to remove myself as the Assignee so this issue doesn't show in my "Assigned to Me" filter on my dashboard. How can I remove myself as the Assignee from an Accepted IDEA?
Welcome @Alice Black
Is this happening every time? If yes, then there is an either project or global automation rule where you are set to be the assignee. First check those.
Then if not, you can change the value of the Assignee field to either Unassigned or someone else - you need to have the Assignable user project permission.
I actually just realized this is a permissions problem not a "nothing is editable" problem, and someone with permissions was able to edit it for me. Thanks!
