×There seems to have been an update to Jira cloud where the subtasks are now multiple columns and these columns can be added, removed and re-arranged.
However, I can no longer drag my subtasks up and down the subtask list to prioritise them.
How do I do this now the interface has changed?
Thanks
@chargeuk , did you ever get a satisfactory answer for this? We just moved from DC to Cloud and I see this lack of ability to rearrange (we have a bunch of subtasks under our Release Tasks epics). We are really going to miss this functionality if they have indeed killed it with the introduction of columns for the Child Work Items area of work items.
Hi @chargeuk -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Where in Jira are you seeing this difference?
Please post an image showing the page / view which has subtasks shown in columns. That will provide context to help the community offer better suggestions. Thanks!
Kind regards,
Bill

hi @Bill Sheboy ,
I see the difference when editing a story. previously, subtasks on a story could be re-ordered by dragging them. This is no longer possible with the new resizable table for subtasks:
I can sort the table by clicking on a column, but I cannot drag subtasks as before.

I am not seeing that view yet when viewing Sub-tasks from a parent issue's view.
If you hover over the issue key, does a "handle" appear that allows dragging to re-order them?

hovering over the issue key does not show a handle. Instead it shows the key as a tooltip:Unfortunately, none of the columns show a handle when hovering over them.

The only other suggestion I have is to try to disable that view / option:
And, what type of project is this: company-managed or team-managed?

@Bill Sheboy - Thanks for the advice, but unfortunately disabling Jira Labs did not fix the issue. The project is company managed and I am using the free tier.
Thanks

I checked the public backlog and do not see this symptom as an open defect.
As you are on the free license level and cannot submit a support ticket to Atlassian, you may need to wait for one of the Community Leaders or an Atlassian staff member sees your post to create a ticket and check into it. (I am also on the free level and cannot do so.)
