How can I modify the default image size in Jira description/comments?

We have a customer that wants images in Jira to resize automatically whenever they post them in a comment or desciption.

Currently when they post a picture, Jira will display it full size and they have to resize it manually everytime so the image doesn't take up a lot of space from the text field. They want it to behave more like in Jira Cloud where the image is reduced by default.

Is there anywhere to find this setting?

I am afraid to say that option is not available in Jira Data Center (DC). Lot of features available in Cloud are missing in DC.

I've just tried the suggestion in the answer below, and it worked for me even though I'm not using Jira Cloud:
