How can I make my custom fields occupy a big text area and moved to the left above the activity ?

I would like to move the custom fields (Goal, requirements, actions...) to the left side above activity and for them to have a big white text input just like the activity box

I'm afraid this would require you to rewrite all the code in the core of Jira that arranges the window in this way  (In fact, in older versions, it was more as you had suggested - the move to the right was a recent "improvement")

Yes I agree with this point. In two tutorials I have seen them stacked under each other which looks cleaner and elegant. But more importantly, it made more sense when using multi-line custom fields so then it is not all cramped but rather viewable. Anyways, thank you !
