Dear All,
As a Product lead, Admin and a Product owner I want to log work for some of my team members. Simply, they forgot to do it and I didnt want to stop them from developing so I took the task on myself.
Now, I am pretty frustrated because I have not found the way after 2 hours of shuffling permissions and doing complicated stuff for such a trivial thing to do. Now I am fed up with all those cookies and even my browser does not recognize me anymore :)
Why cant I just select user for which I want to log hours in the time tracking issue feature?
I am looking for a simple way to do it, without buying any plugins or apps, there must be a way for a such a simple feature but I am missing it somehow.
PLEASE HELP!
Thank you all.
Hi @Leo Žanetić
as a Jira Admin please go to Settings -> User Management
Select a user and then click "Log in as user".
Then you will be able to log a time as a selected user.
Thank you for your answer.
Unfortunetaly that doesnt work as our project board is on the clients Jira account so my team members have no permissions.
When I log in as a user through admins panel, I do not see project board at all. But when user log in from his computer then board is right there.
Confusing.
I gave up.

You can simply log the work but it will indicate you as the person logging the work. If you are an admin you can log in as the user and then log the work.
