How can I link two JIRA issues, where if one is updated, the other will be updated as well?

Emmi Skeans January 29, 2018

I have two JIRA issues that are the same tasks, for the same person, but they are in two different projects. I want to be able to link the two issues together, where if JIRA A is updated, then JIRA B is updated with the same information. Any ideas?

You could use an add-on like Backbone Issue Sync For Jira to synchronize issues

Is there a way to do this without using the add-on?

No, you need code to do this.
