  • what version of Jira are you using: Cloud, Server, or Data Center

    Jira v10.3.8

    alm-jira.systems.uk.hsbc
  • explain what is not working as expected and why you believe that to be the case
I expect to export the rule I created painstakingly in one project, then I can import it to another project. But I can't find import button, while the export button is there. How can I achieve my goal?

Hi @flourish_x_yang

Automation rules can only be imported by a usr with JIra admin permissions, they can access the Jira Global Automation section.

In this system section rules can be imported, this can't be done on project level.

Hi @flourish_x_yang

What level of access do you have in your instance? If you have Jira Admin access, you can import the rules under global automation in Jira.

I am admin of my projects. Can you show me where the import button is? I can check with the Jira team.

@flourish_x_yang You must have global Jira admin. Project admin won’t work for import.
