I have a tough time identifying the workflow, screens, screen configurations and field configurations for a project, and would like help learning how to do so.

To elaborate:

1) I allowed Jira to create a default field configuration a custom field I created.  Should I instead have copied and pasted into the custom field context dialog box the existing field configuration for the JSM project?  Again, is there a way to identify the field configuration the JSM project is actually using?

2) When I create a JSM issue, is there a way I can identify the workflow I'm actually using?

If you are working with a Company Managed project the names of all the schemes being used by the project can be found under Project Settings >> Summary.

To identify the workflow used by a JSM issue you need to know the Issue Type of the issue you are creating. Then look at the Workflow Scheme associated with the project. The Workflow Scheme will show you the mapping of each Issue Type to its respective Workflow.

Thank you.  Seems quite clear.  Because Monday (Memorial Day) [if Monday is defined as the first workday of the week] fell on a Tuesday this week, and I'm just getting warmed-up so to speak, what's the easiest way to identify the Issue Type of an issue I'm creating or opening, please?
