How can I delete the Jira ticket permanently and without any trail?
I don't want
any of my supervisors or other people
to watch or/and review or/and evaluate my project management.
1. What kinds of authority is needed?
2. How can I erase/delete my jira ticket without any trail?
Thank you.
Hi @성승기
It is not good practice to delete work items, especially for the reason that you have mentioned as it gives an impression of dishonesty. In fact, deleting work items may be against your companies policies which could potentially get you in trouble for deliberately hiding audit trails, especially if there are potential legal or regulatory issues involved.
You should set the status of these tickets to "Done", with a resolution of "Won't Do". That way an audit trail would know that someone took the trouble of evaluating the necessity of the task at hand, regardless of the outcome of that person's decision.
Kind regards,
Dick

Hi,
You should be able to find your answer in this thread
You'll need the 'Delete work items' permission, which may or may not be assigned to you. If you don't have the permission, you'll notice that you don't see the 'Delete' option in the ...-menu as detailed in the thread above.
If you have this permission, you can delete a ticket, however, there will always be a small remnant in the audit log that a Jira Administrator can view. However, that will only show that you deleted issue X, but not what the contents of that deleted issue were. That will be totally gone :)

Your boss may fire you if they find out the reason you want delete authority. If you don't have it, only Jira administrator can give it to you and I'm pretty sure they will ask why if the policy, like at my site, is no one gets delete permission.
