How can I delete/erase a issue?

Hello everyone,

I need to clean my kanban board. I have some old issues inside and I need to delete these issues inside the board. I have dashboards to see the performance of the project and I can't put this issue in the status "Done" or assign it to another person. (Free Plan)

My question is, exist some bottom to delete these issues?

Hi Claudio,

It is not a good practice to delete things in Jira. It is best to mark them Abandoned or Canceled or somthing like that if they are not Done and you are not going to do them. Make sure it is Done category status. 

You will need to add the new Status to your workflow if one does not exist. Then make sure thee is a transition to the new status. Next add a post function to the transition to set the Resolution field. 

Publish your workflow. Then you can move the issues to that new status instead of deleting them.
