How can I create several boards in one project without the existing issues being carried over?

Hi,

I would like to have more structure in my agile team and therefore I want to create several boards in one project. Tasks have already been created in an existing board and I would now like to create 3 more boards that should not contain the tasks.

My current problem is that when I create a board, the issues are adopted and therefore no empty board is created.

Is there a solution for this?

Thanks, Jule

Hi @Jule Zimmermann You can easily create multiple boards for a project from Boards  -> View all boards -> Create Board.

Distinguishing factor is the Filter query. Each board can have unique filter query to display items in a board.

One Board can display only bugs, second can display deisgn and documentation tasks.

Hi @Jule Zimmermann!

It depends on what issues you want the boards to show. Boards are controlled via board filters which are JQL queries that determine what issues to show on the board.

If you want to structure the team's work, you'll have to define how you want to structure it. Commonly, components and/or labels are used to determine different areas of work or functionality. Filtering boards by issue type is also an option; some teams like to have bugs on a separate board for instance.
