Hi,
I want to create a filter to see what is all assigned to me during a sprint. We work with tasks and sub tasks, the tasks I can filter on but the sub tasks assigned to me are never shown in the board view.
e.g. Person X had the task Test 1, but Person Y is assigned to a subtask, now person Y can not see this tasks assigned to her/him when they open the board view.
How can I create a filter that everything (tasks and sub tasks) that is assigned to me is shown.
Kind regards
Hi @Victor
This depends on the circumstance.

Tasks Assigned, Sub-tasks Unassigned:
Natively, this isn't possible. This is because you need a sub-query - i.e...
Two options are:

Tasks/Sub-tasks Assigned, Different Users:
To clarify this example, I'm assuming:
I tried this in a Company-managed Board, in a few different Swimlanes scenarios - Stories, Assignees, etc. In all instances using the "Assignee Icon" (next to the Search Bar) it shows both my Tasks, and my Sub-tasks - even if I was not the Assignee of the "main Task"
It also worked in a Team-managed Board, but only when I was Grouping by Subtask.

If the latter is the most relevant example of your issue - perhaps you can provide us some more information:
Ste
Per the original post, I believe the user is not trying to get subtasks from the Tasks assigned to them. They are trying to get subtasks assigned to them that are under Tasks that are not assigned to them.

Hello @Victor
Welcome to the Atlassian community!
Are you working with a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project? It will say which at the bottom of the navigation pane on the left.
Does the board have Swimlanes configured, if it is a Company Managed project, or the Group By option used, if it is a Team Managed project?

In a Company Managed project board when the Assigned To avatar is selected then both Tasks and Subtasks assigned to the specified user are shown, even if the parent of the Subtask is a different user.
If you are not seeing Subtasks when you click your own Assigned To avatar, then I think you may be looking at a board for a Team Managed project. On such board the Subtasks only display when the Group By option is set to Subtasks, so whether you have clicked the Assigned To avatar or not should not matter.

This can be done by using the ALL PLANS VIEW Under plans. Then when that opens up on the left side click on filters and choose only assigned to me. You will be able to see the the tasks and the sub tasks.
