How can I better organize content and bug tracking for a small gaming website using Jira or Trello?

Hi everyone,

I run a small WordPress-based gaming website. I'm currently managing everything manually: content updates, plugin issues, user requests, and occasional bugs.

I'm exploring Atlassian tools like Jira and Trello to help me streamline my workflow. I'm not part of a big team—just solo for now—but I’d still love some structure.

Could anyone suggest

  • A simple way to set up a content calendar and bug/issue tracker?

  • Best practices for solo users on Jira vs. Trello?

  • Are there any templates or plugins that could help me with content scheduling and basic QA?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Briefcase Joe and welcome to the Community!

I updated your question to remove the link as that is not in line with Community guidelines. With regards to the question itself:

  • There's tons of documentation and training courses available online that can help you learn Atlassian tools: Getting started with Jira guide / Getting started with Trello guide / Atlassian Learning
  • If you're working all by yourself, my most important advice would be to keep your processes simple. It would probably not make much sense to set up complex approval flows since you don't have different people to fill in the roles. Trello will most likely be easier to get started, since it requires less configuration to get you up and running.
  • Both Jira and Trello let you set due dates to work items and have built-in calendar views to visualise those items.

Hope this helps!
