How can I assign or change the project category for the newly designed boards?

For the classic projects there is a form field available for setting a project category. However, for the new boards I can't find a way to assign or change the project's category - even though there is a standard value (software project) preset.

The preset value always appears under the project's title (short cut links / cards on top of the projects page) and is somewhat misleading. So, how can I change the category for the new boards? Is it something to be added in future development?

Hello,

Project category is set for a project not for a board.

Hi Alexey,

you're right! So let me clarify: We are mostly using the project with the new board design (the kanban design btw. doesn't seem to support multiple boards - therefore my synonymous word choice).

So, how do I change the project category for the projects using the new design?

A new board can have a filter that draws in issues from any project, so the design does support multiple boards and multiple projects.

"Next Gen" projects do not yet have categories.

Thanks, that helps!

It's actually the project type shown below the titles - I'm sorry for the confusion.

Anyway, for me and my colleagues the project type is not a valuable information when browsing the the project page. A keyword or identifier would make more sense in this place.
