How can I add specific fields to a 'next-gen project'?

I'm trying to add fields like 'fix version/s' and 'epic link' to an issue type but I don't see an option to do that. How can I do that?

Hello,

You can not add these fields to a next-gen project. You should use the project settings -> issue types to add a field.

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.

Thanks for your quick response. So I can only create 'custom fields' on a next-gen project? Will that change in the future?
