I am new to Jira and dont know JQL.
Need some advice on how to add more than 4 swimlanes to my Kanban. I want to have 7 swimlanes, so that I can break the app support tickets down into each area in a swimlane, so Incident, Task, Change Request, Fastlane, CRM Dev, .NET Dev, Sharepoint
I have used Queries + component which allowed me to create 4 swimlanes only.
Can someone point me in the right direction of how to change the default setting to enable more swimlanes, or to add more lanes just to my Kanban.
The board is set up in Classic Jira.
Thanks everyone
If you are the author/owner of the board click on the ellipses in the top right and choose board settings. Once there select swimlanes. Create queries for each swimlane that looks something like this...
Type = incident
type = task
...
now it appears you are saying that you cannot enter more than 4 queries? I have not experienced that limitation. Are you unable to add more than 4 or are you saying that only 4 are displaying. If the latter, please note that if there are no issues that match the query then the lane will not display.
Thanks Jack. I did try that the other day, but for some reason it did not work past adding 4 swimlanes for me. Trying today I am able to keep adding swimlanes. Thanks for your reply. Appreciate it
