How can I add epic link to (kanban) backlog issue view?

Hi!
We switched from scrum to kanban board and we really miss having epic links displayed on the right side of an issue in a backlog view. There is a possibility to add epic link as a custom field in card layout but it is displayed in the second row.
What we are trying to achieve is to have epic link displayed next to fix version/s.
If you need more info, check the attachment -> We would like to achieve having epics shown as "Custom Filters" not "New Functionality"
Any ideas how to do it?
