We have two instances across different parts of our company. Each instance has several Atlassian products including JSM, Jira Software and Confluence, among others.
Atlassian offers price discounts as the number of users increase. How does this work when a company is split across multiple instances?
For example, one instance has 400 users with Jira Software Standard, the other has 95 users with Jira Software Premium. Both instances use JSM Standard. I understand how Atlassian managed accounts work per this article, but it unfortunately does not answer my question.
Hi Scot,
Unless you have an Enterprise license, I believe those existing instances will be created as completely different Orgs and total combined users are not considered, but just the users in each instance. So you get two independent bills. I suggest contacting Atlassian Support to get their take on it and see if you can create both instances under the same Org without being on the extremely expensive Enterprise license. Please post back here with their answer for future readers.
