High memory utilization issue by Java custom reports in Jira

Hi i have design JIRA custom reports using java technology, it's a separate add-on in jira. When fetching reports it takes very long time too respond . Even reports fetch it still processing in back-ends. Due to which i am facing very high memory utilization & server goes down every time. Can any one help about this issue, it will be a great help.
