Hierarchy with 2 custom issue types?

Hi ALL,

(i know is not a best practice but..)

i created 2 custom issue type:

  • requirement > epic
  • workpack > US 

how can i create a hierarchy between this 2?

Welcome to Atlassian community!

On JIRA, you can use 3 levels of hierarchy:

Epics > Stories/tasks > Sub-tasks

However, you can only add issue types as standard level(Stories/tasks) and Sub-task level. It is not possible to add issues in the Epic level.

That been said, the only way to create this kind of hierarchy on JIRA for two custom issue types would be by adding requirement as Standard and workpack as sub-task.

Apart from that,  there are some add-ons that provide you with the ability to add/edit new levels of hierarchy on JIRA.
