Hi, how can I change a custom field type in JIra

I am want to create a custom field 'Acceptance Criteria' and make the field type 'Text'.

However, none of the fields listed on the custom field page is text. Can someone help me?

You need to create a new text field with that name

copy paste the link. sometimes when you just click on it the system appends other information at the end making is fail

If you want it required at creation time update the field configuration for that issue type. If you want it required during a transition screen you need a plugin. I use JIRA suite utilities.
