Hi ! Do we have any customization for Product Backlog in Next - Gen as we had for classic projects

we are trying to customize the Product Backlog in NEXT GEN where  we want to have Board view as SPRINT BOARD ( with columns differentiating) for easy maintenance of backlog

Thank you for raising this question.

The Next-Gen projects are really limited when we talk about customizations.

Explaining better, the Next-gen project template was built for those customers who do not want to deal with the complexity and several features available on the Classic project's template. Basically, Simplicity is the keyword for Next-Gen projects.

That being said, I'm afraid that you will only be able to achieve this kind of customization by using the Classic Project Template of JIRA.

Hello Soundariya,

Actually, we don't have any plans to move complex projects or enforce a migration to the next-gen projects.

The Classic and Next-gen templates are two different options, for two different scenarios and two different purposes.

However, if the new features that will be implemented on Next-gen start to change your perception and provide you the functionalities that were holding you back on the Classic Template, you would also have the option to migrate your team to next-gen.
