We are currently using jira assets (previously Insight) to inventorize our assets using discovery. While there is enough out of the box data that shows up under hosts (servers, workstations), there is very little data that gets populated under device (network switches etc). We want to gather more data like serial no., vendor info, version etc. from our network switches. Jira support mentioned we need to customize SNMP pattern files to be able to achieve this. The pattern files are coded in C# and unfortunately none in our team is familiar with this. Has someone had the experience of customization of snmp pattern files that can help us gather additonal info from our network switches?
