I accidentally (there is no warning!) deleted a field context from my jira cloud instance. Understand i can re create it but is all the data lost?
I have a lot of records with a missing field now. cant even seem to track exactly what was set up.
Research tells me that if i set it back up with the same values they should re appear but that sounds like witchcraft and so am not prepared to wait and see.
Any help advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
Oliver.
Deleting field context is permanent and without a backup your only cause of action is to recreate the context.
Thanks Mikael, I knew i was clutching at straws. there really should be more controls in place. I cant even get information as to how the context was configured from the logs as far as i can tell...

Hi Oliver,
I don't think it will affect your existing data. Just add the context back as a Global context and then check your existing work items to see if the data shows up.
