Helm charts vs. supported app versions

Hello,

What are the guidelines for deploying different app versions with given Helm chart version? Is there a compatibility matrix somewhere?

All I could find is https://atlassian.github.io/data-center-helm-charts/userguide/upgrades/PRODUCTS_UPGRADE/, saying: "We recommend upgrading the Helm chart rather than upgrading the product directly. "

Meanwhile, chart versions look like this:

What chart version should I use for Jira 9.12.25 or 9.12.19? Is it 1.22.1?

Can I use chart 1.22.9 for Jira 9.12? How about 2.0.2, any issues using this one?

How can we tell? What are the official guidelines?

Hi I just faced the same problem, the solution is to add to values.yaml the following:

  tag: 10.0.1

where tag is the version you wish to "install".

I personally never used Helm Chart for my upgrades, however I found the link below that looks like solved the issue for the user who reported the problem:
