Have Tabs Consistent Across Views

Is there anyway to always show the tabs on all screens? I am using one default screen for all operations however the behaviour is different e.g:

When adding my tabs show fine:

But when I click to edit or view the same Issue, all the fields show down the right hand side and not in tabs :(

Any help is much appreciated.

This looks like the new Jira Issue View being pushed out by Atlassian - I havent tinkered with Tabs in the new view yet but you may have more luck submitting a support ticket them since this is still a Beta/New feature.
