Suggestion: I think it would be a great add on if a simple personal task tracking project were available to enterprise users as a default under their profile. Just a basic, workflow to manage personal tasks within the Jira environment.
Hello @Nigel Haycock
Since this is a User Community it is not the best method to get feedback directly to Atlassian.
In Jira under the Help button (the question mark near your avatar) there is a Feedback option. Use that to provide suggestions directly to Atlassian.

Hi @Nigel Haycock 👋🏻,
Unfortunately, Jira does not currently offer a built-in "Personal Task" view under the user profile by default.
To achieve this natively, the standard workaround is for each user to create their own separate Project (typically a Team-managed project) and configure the permissions so that only they have access to it. While this works, we understand that in an Enterprise environment, creating a separate project for every single user can clutter the instance and become difficult to manage administratively.
🌱 If you are looking for a cleaner solution that avoids creating hundreds of personal projects, I'd recommend taking a look at Getting Work Done.
🌱 Getting Work Done provides a private Inbox directly within the Jira interface. It allows users to create and track personal tasks that are visible only to them, without generating new Jira projects or issues that clutter the backlog. It effectively bridges the gap between official Jira issues and personal to-dos in a single view.
🍀Beyond just capturing tasks, it helps you structure your entire personal workflow.
⚡️You can group next steps in the Actions view.
🗓️ Plan your work flexibly—from today to the coming weeks—with the Agenda.
🎯 Prioritize using the Matrix
🍅Stay focused on execution with the built-in Pomodoro Timer.
Hope this helps!
