Going in Project Shows Reports Automatically + Cloning Projects?

How's it going Atlassian Community? New to JIRA, and have some questions.

1) Started a new project using Scrum (Classic) template. Added some issues, tweaked here and there etc. Now, every time I go to the main dashboard (where I can see all of my projects) and go into that project it immediately shows "Reports" tab. Is there a way to change it?

2) How can I replicate a project?

Hello @Roi Ostrovsky,

  1. Jira will send you to the last tab you were on this project. So if you go to the Active sprint tab, then to the dashboard, then to your project, you should arrive on the Active sprint tab and not the Report one.
  2. You can't clone a project but you can create a new one with shared configuration. This means you'll choose an existing project as a template and the new project will then use the permissions, workflows, issue types and other schemes from the existing project. Note that it won't copy boards, so you'll need to copy them manually.

Hope this helps!

@Manon Soubies-Camy

Thanks Manon.

Is there a way to disable what you described regarding the last tab I was on? I'd like to see the Backlog as a default, regardless of where I've been previously.

Also, I want to be able to delete tasks quick and easily from within the project's board. Currently if I do that it takes me to a confirmation page and it's an entire process. How do I do that?

Hm I don't think so, but you can ask Atlassian support: support.atlassian.com, maybe there's a hidden setting somewhere :)

Answer to your edit: not sure what you mean by "it's an entire process", but the quickest way to delete an issue is to hit "." on your keyboard and type "delete". Are you sure you need to delete issues rather than closing them? Deleting an issue isn't trivial, if you need to restore it later it's a whole process that can be difficult.

Hello Roi,

What do you mean by replicate a project ?

I know that you can create a project that will share configuration of an existing project in jira.
