I was trying to update an automation rule, when I tried to change the user in an Assign Issue component, I clicked on the Select User drop down. Nothing loads and when I try typing in the user's name, nothing happens. The little spinning icon shows up on the right of the dropdown and just spins like it is loading.
The weird part is, I updated several other automation rules and had no issues with that same drop down, it only happened on this one workflow. I was using Chrome, I tried clearing the cache, restarting the browser, rebooting my laptop, using Edge and Firefox as well. I tried deleting the component and adding it back in with the same results, the little spinner shows up on the right side of the drop down and nothing loads.
Another admin in my company was able to update it with no issue, so it leads me to believe something is wrong with my machine, but I'm not sure what.
Hi Brian - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
It might be that you do not have permissions to assign people on that particular project. I would start there with that project's Permission Scheme. Maybe even run the Permission Helper while in there.
If all of that checks out, see if you can change the Actor for the rule in the rule details page and see if that helps any.
Thanks John, I'm a new admin and it looks like for whatever reason, I was not given access to that project. I had changed some other automation rules for a particular segment of our business, but I didn't realized the two that I could not change were in one particular project.
