Hi,

Is there an option for users to give other users permissions to log/plan time on their behalf using Tempo?

If so, is it only for paid plans?

Hi @shahafn ,

When using Tempo, the permission to log work for other users can be given via
- the JIRA project permission "Log work for others", https://help.tempo.io/cloud/en/tempo-timesheets/permissions-in-tempo/project-permissions.html or
- the Tempo Team permission "Manage worklogs", https://help.tempo.io/cloud/en/tempo-timesheets/permissions-in-tempo/tempo-team-permissions.html

Planning time for others can only be done when using Tempo Planner. The permission to plan time for others can then be given via the "Manage Plans" permission for a team.

Please note that when logging time for another user, this "other" user needs to have the "Work on issue" permission for the project.

Hi @Susanne Götz _Tempo_ ,

Thanks for the detailed answer!

I'm not sure if I understand still - is it possible in the free plan? or is only in a paid one?

Hi @shahafn

Currently, Tempo is not compatible with the JIRA Free Plan instances (https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/what-is-the-free-jira-cloud-plan/), so a paid one is required.

Best regards,
Susanne
