Github integration is not showing up in our Jira tickets

We have done everything required to add the Github app to our jira.
We see in the app that all our repositories were successfuly synced
We see the developer field has been added to our jira projects
We are certain that all our tickets start with the jira id (ie ALT-203)

But yet we see nothing in our Jira issue

We already disconnected and re-connected once. No help.

We've been trying for hours to get the git information to show up in tickets.

Hi David,

Even if repos are synced, Jira only shows GitHub activity when the Jira issue key (e.g., ALT-203) is included in the branch name, commit message, or PR title, not just in the Jira ticket itself.

Also verify the Development field is visible and you have View development tools permission.

Yes of course
the jira ticket # is included in all commit messages
and often in the branch name as well
this is not the issue

Development field is showing up on the scheme and development tools permissions have been confirmed

We've gone through ALL the steps- there is no reason why this should not work
