Hi - in a company managed project where I'm admin on a team project,
I have attempted to add team member to a project several times but keep getting the error message "something went wrong. we can't add anyone right now." Hash 1WQWMZW
Trace a289e88449484fbd974f08fd6e333c12
doesn't matter what role is being assigned, the function continually throws the error, even after a couple hours
User being added already has a Jira license in the company project.
can anyone help?
Something went wrong with this mistake. When adding a user with an existing Jira license to a project managed by the firm, the most frequent reason for the message "we can't add anyone right now" is that Browse users and groups global permissions are absent for either the admin carrying out the activity or the user being added.
Steps for Troubleshooting: Verify Product Access
Verify that the person you are adding is part of a group that has explicit permission for your company-managed project as well as access to Jira products.
If adding directly doesn't work, try adding the person to a group that has already been given access or a project role. Then, attach the group to the project.
Wait and Try Again: If the error still occurs even with the right permissions, it might be an Atlassian Cloud problem. These sometimes go away in a few hours, but if it doesn't, get in touch with Atlassian support and provide them with the hash and trace information so they can look into it.
Hope this helps!
thank you so much Pallavi!
unfortunately, I'm still in same position.
Manage Version permission is not in Group config, it reads:
I may have to get in touch with Atlassian support, it's been 4 hours at this point
confirmed that team member has access,
they just need to get added to "Current Users" in "People"

I suspect this might be the issue , frequently happens as a result of internal API errors, misconfigured permissions, or user or license constraints. This message is frequently displayed for Jira Cloud instances when you have used up all of the users allowed by your subscription plan or when another product (like Jira Service Management) is fully utilized, even if your primary Jira Software quota isn't.
Could you please check this once and confirm?
