Getting error "Mobile Related?: Mobile Related? is required."

I am not able to create task in Jira, it shows following error:

Mobile Related?: Mobile Related? is required.

I found the root cause - a new custom field (called mobile related) was made mandatory.

The restriction is applied to all the projects of the firm. Not sure how to restrict this new field for the selected projects?
