Getting error- customfield_10631":"Epic Name is required."

Hi

I have integrated my ServiceNow instance to Jira instance. I am getting below error while creating an epic in jira via integration. I ma very new to Jira, can anyone help what it means and what i should do?

I am getting below error in response

customfield_10631":"Epic Name is required."

@harsh chhajer  In Jira while creating Epic type issue, you will need to add 'Epic Name'.

Hi,

It appears that 'Epic Name' is a mandatory field within JIRA. So while creating an Epic via integration (in this case via SNOW i am guessing), configure a new field in SNOW and make that as mandatory such that upon integrating with JIRA it will populate the Epic Name in JIRA

The other option I can think of is making the Epic Name field non-mandatory within JIRA but that depends on the permission you have within JIRA
