I'm receiving this error message when refreshing the Jira cloud add in for Excel. This only happens when I run it the refresh data from the tab with pivot tables. The refresh data works on the data tabs.
I need this to work on the Pivot Table tab since that is what my stakeholders see.
I've verified that none of the pivot tables are at risk of overlap.
Data refresh is set up with JQL query of project = project name and max rows = 10,000
unfortunately I can't comment on why you're receiving an error here. Our friends at Midori put together this guide for resolving common problems with the integration, and also offer a great alternative through the Atlassian Marketplace - perhaps there's something useful in there?
Alternatively, as the Excel integration is operated by Atlassian, you may want to consider reaching out to Atlassian Support.
Best,

... and just as food for thought: Depending on your exact use case, you may even want to consider whether you need to sync back and forth between Jira and Excel at all, or whether you could do all your work in directly within Jira.
E.g., you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira. It's a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. JXL also comes with a number of advanced features, including support for (configurable) issue hierarchies, issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting.
With these, you can build a view like e.g. this in just a couple of clicks:
This is really just one of a virtually endless number of possible views and reports - you could also view, group by, and sum up any other issue field(s), configure different sum-up styles, etc. etc.
This all happens directly in Jira, using your Jira data - so whatever you chose to do in JXL, your view is always live and fully synchronised.
Any questions just let me know!
