From the Velocity Chart - what are the fields or queries used for Committed and Completed?
Would like to use this data to get a better idea of teams predictability going forward.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

  • When you start a sprint, Jira records the list of issues that are in it.
  • As you progress through a sprint, Jira records what issues you add or remove.

From those, it can add up their estimates to give you Committed.

Completed is the sum of the estimates on the issues in the "done" column (the last rightmost column)

The Velocity chart is directly intended to give you predictability, you're supposed to look at the Velocity of the last few sprints to determine how much the team should pull into the next sprint!

Please advise what fields I used for committed and completed when I do a query.

It's whatever you set the estimation field to in the board settings.

Jira is reading the estimation field from the issues you committed to and completed.

Would you have an example of a query that could look at the committed vs completed?  Thanks
