Hello,

I have created a form inside my jira software project. I would like to share this form with a customer who has no account or access to our jira. When I try to test (logged out, incognito tab) and submit the form I get the following error.

I have checked a couple of things already.

  • Form access is set to Public.
  • No required fields except for summary. (Issue type is also required but not a field you can use with a form)
  • I get the following warning, however I have set up a work items permission scheme with Application access - Any logged in user. Even myself as single user, admin and more. The warning only displays when the form is set to public.2025-10-01 08_30_59-Clipboard.png

Hello @Scott Stoffers

Good day! Welcome to Atlassian Community.

As you've mentioned that you'd like to share the Form with a user who doesn't have an Atlassian Account or Jira access, you'd need to ensure that the "Create Issues" permission is granted to Public.

In case, the user has an account but doesn't have Jira product access, then you can set this Permission to "Any logged in user".

I hope that helps!

Hey @Scott Stoffers

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Which user have you selected as the default reporter? Does this user have access to Jira and permission to create work items in the Jira project?

Thanks!

At first my colleague. I have now changed it to myself. I also added myself to "People". Under Space Settings > People, assigning myself all the roles.. Not sure if the latter did anything but it's working now.
