×I am trying to confirm whether or not I should expect to see the built-in Fix Version filter on the Board view for a Company Managed Software project. I currently don't see it on the Board view, but I do see it on the Backlog view for the same board. This applies to both Scrum and Kanban boards.
I know that for a Team Managed Software project using a Kanban board the built-in Fix Versions filter does not display in the Board view but is available on the Backlog screen for same. There was a change request to add it, but that has been closed due to Low Engagement.
Hi @Trudy Claspill,
From a technical perspective I am quite sure someone from Atlassian would be better placed to answer this. Considering the traditional scope of a sprint, I can understand the low engagement on the request, though.
In most of the environments I've seen, it is not quite common to be working on many releases simultaneously, definitely not in a scrum board. As a sprint commonly only covers 2 weeks of work for a fairly small team, the number of different releases in one and the same sprint is mostly ... 1 (or definitely not a lot). I would guess that's the main rationale behind this: it would usually just sit there, taking up space and not being used.
Hope this makes sense 😅
