I have a problem where screenshots in comments or other fields become corrupted somehow. I can see the images in the comments, they render on screen, but when I click save I get a nice error message. Atlassian, if there's a problem with a file the please validate it before it's allowed to be uploaded. I'd rather be stopped initially, then have to go and dig back through to find content. Some of this is UAT that are several images deep. It's incredibly aggravating to have to go back and find my content after creating a comment.
I agree with @Arkadiusz Wroblewski. This does appear to be the same issue described in JRACLOUD-97742.
The issue is that the image appears to upload and render correctly in the editor, but the comment fails when you try to save it. That makes it especially frustrating because you don’t know there’s a problem until after you’ve already written the comment.
Until Atlassian resolves it, I’d probably avoid pasting multiple screenshots directly into longer comments. Saving the text temporarily or uploading the images as attachments before building the comment around them may help avoid losing the UAT notes.
Hello @Nate Dickinson
I found something related to your issue.
