Find snapshot history for release version

I am looking to find tickets that were part of a previous release, but have since been removed from the release. The release has been archived.

Is there a way for me to find what Jira tickets were associated with a version at any point in time? I'm looking for something like the "History" tab on any other issue type, like Epic or Task, where you can see all changes ever made to the ticket.

If I understand you correctly Issue History add-on from Atlassian Marketplace can help you.

This tool lets you view all the changelog ordered by the time period you need.

Also, it can show you all updates made by each user from your account.

So you don't have to search history for every issue manually, all data you need will be in the one place.
