Filter to show issues that appear in two projects based on custom field.

Michael Leflett June 23, 2020

Hello,

I'm trying to show a list of issues that match issues in another project.

Let's say there's a Serial# field that is used on issues in two projects.

I'm trying to filter issues that appear in both of those projects where that Serial# field matches.

But not one at a time; I need a list of all issues that appear in both projects.

I have Scriptrunner and Power Custom Fields; other add-ons are not an option.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Michael,

Not sure how you can do that right off hand. But one question - could the same Serial# appear more than once in the same project?

Yes, the number can appear on multiple issues in both projects.
I have a filter that I run one-by-one, but it's time consuming.

Was thinking you might could do it with a Dashboard and Issue Statistics gadget but that wouldn't work if multiples can be in the same project.

Had the same idea. I've tried every gadget in the system.

Currently, I export a list from both projects and perform some Excel wizardry to provide the list, but the customer is asking for a list on a dashboard.
