Filter not showing as possible issue source

Donna Wise July 29, 2022

I created & saved a filter in Jira, and want to use it as an issue source in Jira Advanced Roadmap, but it does not appear in the list of filter options.  How do I get it to show up in the dropdown for filter options?

Hello again @Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_ , @Craig Nodwell , and @Trudy Claspill --Thank you for your replies!  I did discover that, although I'm in the group "jira access", I had not shared the filter with that group.

Many thanks for your input!

Hi @Donna Wise ,

welcome to the Atlassian community!

First of all you need to specify if you are on the cloud or on a data center instance. Btw, each filter should be automatically usable on Advanced Roadmap side. Please verify that you shared that filter with the groups that could use your plan.

Hope this helps,

Fabio

Hi @Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_ ,

We're on a data center instance.  Currently (for experimentation purposes), I have the plan set to be private to me, and I'm the creator/owner of the filter as well.  Given that, I wouldn't think I'd need to share the filter, but am I wrong?

Thanks,

Donna

Did you share this filter?

If I have the plan restricted to me, and I created/own the filter, would I need to?

Hello @Donna Wise

Welcome to the community.

Have you tried entering the name of your filter to narrow the list of filters displayed?

Can you provide a screen image of what you're seeing?

Are you using Jira Cloud or Jira Server/Data Center?
